 Comedian Bovi was involved in a ghastly motor accident last night in Ikoyi. He was badly crushed by another vehicle. The comedian who sustained an injury in the eye, was hospitalizes but has been discharged from the hospital. Read below after the cut. "Out of hospital, hale and hearty! Just an injured left eye! According to a report by Sahara Reporters some hours ago, Latter Rain Assembly General overseer, Pastor Tunde Bakare collapsed during a lecture in Lagos. He was subsequently rushed to Reddington Hospital in Lagos. Punch reports that the students, aged between 12 and 15, were nabbed when a crack team of policemen stormed Oguola Secondary School at Saint Saviour in Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area of the state recently. According to a source in the school, eight of the suspects were apprehended at flash spots within the school compound. Their arrest prompted the police to conduct a search on some students in the classrooms, where items believed to be emblems of notorious cult groups were recovered from them. It was also learnt that reports made against the students by some parents may have been responsible for the arrest. However, the Principal of school has appealed to the police command to release those found to be innocent at the end of their investigations. Efforts to reach the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Stephen Onwochei, ‎on the arrest were unsuccessful. It was, learnt that 14 suspects were undergoing questioning at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Benin. ...

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has approved the appointment of Mrs. Uju Aisha Hassan-Baba, as the new Executive Secretary/Chief Executive of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC). Mrs. Hassan-Baba takes over from Mrs. Saratu Altine Umar who has been relieved of her appointment as the Executive Secretary/Chief Executive of NIPC with immediate effect. The new Executive Secretary/Chief Executive had served previously as Director-General, Legal Aid Council of Nigeria, Attorney-General and Commissioner of Justice in Anambra State and Director, Legal Services, Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment. President Jonathan thanks the out-going Executive Secretary/Chief Executive for her services and wishes her well in her future endeavours.
